just got home after a week on the snowboard... I can just say that my feet hurts, alot! but it was worth it, we had a great time!

I just found out that Tom Waits is right now working on a new album, so hopefully he will do another tour with it. keeping my fingers crossed!

gothenburg

got to gothenburg today, leaving for orsa on monday. met up with marry at the station an we went straight to the one piece- jump in store. met danny from swedish idol an almost walked up to him and said: hi! I'm emma and my friend won you! (cause my friend won a competition were the price was a private show by him, and apple stuff worth 80 000 but that's not important ;) )

I'm now hanging out at marrys place.. and this is what we've been doing for a while.. oh how fun!

Friday

Just got back from the gym. On the way home I stopped by the postoffice to pick up my order, Bobby Long's "A Winter Tale". I have already listened through it a few times, it has sort of an old feeling to it that I really like.

Now I'm waiting for Yo to get here.. We're going to watch a movie or two 'cause tomorrow I'm off to Orsa for some snowboarding with Marry. Going to stop by Junkyard and Goldmine (two snow/skate/surf shops! not a junkyard and goldmine per se). www.junkyard.se ! For some shopping!

Hoxton

Found out yesterday that Marcus Foster is doing a show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen in april, I'm thinking about going. Me and Yo were in London last october and saw Bobby Long preform, crazy day.

First we got to London so late that we missed the last bus that could take us to our friend Ayat (whom we were living at). My phone didn't work, and Yo left hers at home (smartass!).. So we were stranded at a London airport with no phone and no clue of where to go. We took the first bus the morning after and managed to get ahold of Ayat through one of those cool red payphones (they smell horrible though..). We slept for a few hours and then decided to take the bus down to oxford street before the show, to find a banksy shop that Yo hade read about. After walking for what felt like forever we found it, a small mf bagelbar (with a banksy tag next to it). We started walking back and got lost.. took a while but we finally found our way back. We stopped at a store to buy some food so we could eat something before the show. We arrived to ayats place, she lives in a student accomodation so there's first a gate, then a big door, then another door before you reach the door to the room, but we didn't have a card and couldn't get ahold of Ayat... oh, yeah, we had an hour until the show started. We hadn't showered, eaten and we had big bags of food with us... We got in to the building but still couldn't reach the hallway to the room. But then we met Ayats friend who took our bags so we atleast didn't have to take them with us to the show. We got to Hoxton (nervous cause I didn't know if we could get in). They started to let people in, when it was our turn I said my name (booked tickets). They'd lost our reservation but because we were there so early they had a few tickets left. We stood just infront of the stage for almost four hours!
I'll just say that my brain didn't work as it usually does when I after the show met Bobby.. I made a complete fool out of myself..

Hopefully I won't do the same thing with Marcus (if I go).

Valentines day!

Valentines day have never meant anything special to me so I got really freaked out when my friend Yo (my creative lutlle monstrer, yojeh.wordpress.com) called me yesterday and said she had a present for me. I instantly replied: I haven't bought you anything!... her answer was: HAVE I ASKED FOR A FREAKIN PRESENT! I WANTED TO GIVE YOU SOMETHING!!... well sorry..

So today I went to our other friend Evelina to watch a movie with both of them. This is what I got:

Found out one of my cd orders got cancelled so I won't get my cd!! Got to run around gothenburg until I find it.

Music of the day: Justin Townes Earle. Really good! (harlem river blues).

Had a really good time in stockholm. Walked around town for a while and went to a meeting about the girls skate in sweden (http://www.nolimitskate.se/) . Junkfest, betongcupen and crossing boarders. We're going to be there! (really want to be in on crossing boarders this year). There's also alot of camps planned for this year. CAN'T WAIT!




really want this one! it's called the burton "sleeper". It's a made for traveling in (with toothbrush, toothpaste, hand warmers, ear plugs, passport pockets, mp3 pocket, inflatable pillow (that's removeble), pit vents, eye shield).

Marcus Foster! this guy writes (and plays) the most amazing music I've ever heard. I've been listening to it for some time now and... no I can't describe it.

Now I really need to pack, leaving for gothenburg tomorrow and then stockholm on friday.

Spent all afternoon and evening yesterday hanging over the toilet.. So today I haven't done anything but sleeping and watched movies. I' boored with other words..

so now I'm started planing a short trip to germany in may, berlin or hamburg, can't really decide (just to have something to do!). Going more towards berlin but hamburg is alot easier.. hmmm..

got to keep on looking!

Bobby Long "A Winter Tale"

Yesterday Bobby Long released his first album "A Winter Tale". I bought it a few days ago and am right now downloading the tracks (I bought the album in vinyl, so I get free downloads).
